When dogs come to Friendsville Animal Center, we want them to have fun on their brain. Because of this, we only offer socialization and confidence building training activities such as group play, water play, and enrichment exercises. These are important activities for a balanced and stable dog .

We don’t offer manners training (basic or otherwise) for our guests. If we did offer manner training, though, our philosophy would be non-force positive-based because we do not believe in using aversive training methods which inflict physical punishment on an animal. One of the many resources available is Paul Owens, The Original Dog Whisperer (he’s been our go-to training guru for decades).
